Volunteer Opportunities

Welcome to the Syracuse Chargers Track Club Volunteer Page. The Chargers, an all-volunteer organization, depends upon its membership to perform its vital services. The typical road race or track meet could not exist or would be prohibitively expensive without volunteers to run the event, including keeping it safe. Your time spent as a Charger Volunteer is always very much appreciated.

Through volunteering, one can sometimes apply skills learned at work for the benefit of the club. Better yet, skills learned through volunteering can advance one's career. Ever enjoy one of the many well written articles in the award winning Chargers Newsletter? They were written by a volunteer with excellent writing skills. How about one of our summer track meets? The people who direct and assist in these meets are exhibiting leadership. The club's finances are tracked by a skilled accountant. Care to get away from the job for a little bit and do something different? There are also many positions that don't require a particular talent and a small time commitment, but yet are vital to the participating athlete. To sum, regardless of your talents and the time that you're willing to donate, there is an opportunity for you.

Here are some of the events and programs where volunteers are needed:
